So I have this listing, 4 bedrooms, 1 bath, larger yard, with some history in Eureka,CA ($139,000)... and after delay after delay after delay from the lender BofA, my seller had to give a notice to the buyers, to close escrow or have automatic cancellation. For two and a half weeks all parties rode a white knuckle roller coaster ride of expecting loan docs in a few hours, or just after lunch, or first thing in the morning...today at 5pm was the cut off...Buyers are upset, Buyer's agent has lost her income, Seller is leary and upset, and I am just plain tired. I will perservere with vigor to get it done, but I am not happy about the loss of income and the additional work and frustration this has created...for two and a half weeks of promises that loan docs would be in any moment, already well past closing date, the Sellers needed to get the unit back on the market. We were losing valuable marketing time, and under 200k is moving right now...
So my hubby helped me hang a sign, which I had to move from another listing this evening, that had two signs, but it was broken, so we had to rig it with zip ties...slightly hokey indeed, but it is better than no sign. We put up a flyer box, then went to Rita's for a beer and tacos.
I am hoping that tomorrow is like many days in real estate, full of surprises and good news...maybe someone will bring me an offer? Anyone?
